Part of the Azimut-Benetti Group, Italian luxury yacht builder Azimut Yachts was founded by student Paolo Vitello in 1969. Beginning by chartering sailing boats in its early years, Azimut later expanded its boat building facility and acquired shipbuilding company Benetti in 1985. Azimut Yachts is known today for building luxury composite superyachts up to 38 metres which are characterised by progressive, contemporary styling, aggressive performance and high-tech interiors.
