Founded in the heart of pleasure boating in Viareggio, Italy, Versilcraft Yachts was established in 1964 by Marco Pezzini. This now-historic shipyard first began constructing wooden boats, becoming one of the region’s most important builders in the 1970s and 1980s before expanding into the luxury motor yacht sector. In 1998, Marco’s son Andrea Pezzini took over the reins and hired architect Angelo Neri, who designed its Planet series of semi-custom yachts and redefined the yard’s signature style. Later, in 2001, Versilcraft teamed up with Viking Yachts to develop the custom 105. In 2006, the yard returned to its roots with the 36m Planet 120S launch. However, in 2012, the yard shut its doors due to declining business before coming back in 2016 with the V86. Expanding its range in recent years, Versilcraft delivered the first of its SportAdventure series, the 45m Miss Candy, in 2022, a steel and aluminium marvel built at its facility in Navicelli, Pisa.
